Today, we phone my parents and tell them the good news. They’re naturally more excited since this will be their first grandchild. My mom says that my dad is so excited that he can’t finish his lunch anymore.
Frankly, I think my dad not finishing his lunch has less to do with our baby and more to do with vegetables. You see, my mom’s a vegetarian, so the majority of things she cooks involves leafy, green things. Unfortunately for my dad, he’s a meat-loving man. He’s looking for a way out and he’s found it. Nice move, buddy!
