The Harvard Equation

The wife asked me today to help her do some research on DHA (docosahexaenoic acid). It’s good to see her finally coming around and acknowledging me as the baby expert in this family. I’m proud of you! You get a gold star for the day.

DHA is an omega-3 fatty acid found in fish oil that’s important to women, especially during pregnancy. Experts (including myself) recommend taking at least 200 mg of DHA, though it’s not clear exactly how much a pregnant woman needs. DHA helps build up a baby’s brain, nervous system, and eyes.

In other words, it’s time to update my intelligence equation, which, henceforth, shall be known as the Harvard Equation.

Developing fetus x (Exercise + Stress + DHA) = Harvard.
